About this role
Weltec Engineering Limited, a dynamic and expanding company, is seeking a talented Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Waterford. In this unique role, you will be based in our Waterford Office, while also immersing yourself in on-site project coordination as required.
You will report directly to the senior project managers and construction directors.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead the preparation of Contract/Project Programmes and provide ongoing Monthly Reporting on project progress.
- Collaborate in setting up tasks and subtasks, ensuring the smooth realization of project contract requirements within schedule.
- Maintain a meticulous database of task timelines and statuses.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints to assess the impact of schedule changes. Offer innovative workarounds and impartial foresight to mitigate project risks.
- Develop and update weekly short interval schedules in collaboration with supervisors and project engineers.
- Monitor progress trends, resource utilization, and project outputs to enrich the knowledge base and identify emerging challenges.
- Engage closely with the project team to provide planning and scheduling support.
- Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with the project team, supply chain, and stakeholders.
- Innovate by exploring alternative construction solutions to enhance project outcomes.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Relevant Third-Level Degree.
- Over 5 years of industry experience.
- Proven Project Planning/Scheduling experience within the Construction sector.
- Familiarity with Lean Last Planner methodology.
- Proficient in IT tools: Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
