A large directory is useful. It is not the same as knowing where to begin.
You can browse a lot of company history and still need a sensible first shortlist. Recommended Companies helps turn your own context into a research order without pretending the data makes the decision for you.
Too many starting points
A full directory can make every company look equally urgent when your time is limited.
Random application order
Applying in the order you discover companies does not create a research strategy.
Signals without context
Historical permit records are easier to use when they sit alongside your own role and profile context.
Your context meets company research signals.
The shortlist is designed to help you decide what to research first. The available context and reasons can change as your profile, CV, role, and company data change.
Candidate context
Your profile, role direction, and CV context can give the shortlist a more useful starting point.
Company signals
Company location, industry, careers context, and available permit history can inform the research view.
A research order
The result is a prioritised view to investigate, not a fixed score, match promise, or hiring decision.
A recommendation is a starting point, not a result.
Open a company profile, check current roles through the company’s own channels, save the companies worth revisiting, and move selected applications into your tracker when the next step is yours to take.
Open the profile
Review the available company and permit-history context.
Check current roles
Use the employer’s current careers or hiring channels.
Save your priority
Keep the companies you want to research again.
Track your application
Move a real application into your private pipeline.
Keep the decision with the candidate.
IrishTalents helps organise evidence for research. It does not choose a job, contact an employer, or promise sponsorship on your behalf.
Browse broadly, then prioritise personally.

Is Recommended Companies free?
The public page is a free entry point to the candidate workspace. Create a free candidate profile, add the context you want to use, and open the Recommended for me view after onboarding.
How are recommendations shaped?
The current shortlist uses available candidate profile and CV context alongside company and historical employment-permit signals. The available reasons and confidence can vary with the context you provide and the company data available.
Does this match me to a live job?
No. Recommended Companies is a research-prioritisation tool, not a job board, recruiter introduction, live vacancy matcher, or hiring decision. You still need to research current roles and requirements yourself.
Does historical permit activity mean a company will sponsor me?
No. Historical employment-permit activity is evidence from past records. It does not prove current hiring, current sponsorship intent, a suitable role, or future sponsorship availability.
What if my profile is incomplete?
The shortlist can be less useful when profile or CV context is missing. You can complete more of your candidate profile or add CV context, then return to Recommended for me to improve the research starting point.
How is this different from the public Companies directory?
The public Companies directory is the place to browse and filter the wider sponsor-history research set. Recommended for me is the personalised prioritisation view inside your authenticated candidate workspace.
Spend your first hour where your research is most useful.
