How IrishTalents works

A job search built on the public permit records, so you can see who hires through a permit before you apply. You apply on the employer's own site.

Three steps, all of them yours

  1. Step 1

    Find the role

Search open roles, employers and agencies. Each role shows whether the advert itself mentions sponsorship.

  2. Step 2

    Check the record

Each employer page shows the employment permits it was issued in past years, from the government's published data.

  3. Step 3

    Apply where it is advertised

Apply takes you to the employer's or the agency's own posting. The application happens there, not on IrishTalents.

Questions candidates ask first

Is IrishTalents a recruitment agency?
No. IrishTalents does not apply for roles on your behalf or negotiate with employers. It brings together open roles, employers' permit records and licensed agencies so you can see where you fit and apply yourself.
Where does the Apply button take me?
To the role's own posting on the employer's or the agency's site. That is where the application is made and where the employer reads it. Opening a role on IrishTalents first shows you the advert and the employer's permit record before you go.
Do I need a profile to apply?
No. Every role can be opened and applied for without an account. A profile is for you: add your occupation and CV once and the site shows your likely permit route and the roles and employers that fit it.
Do I need to live in Ireland to use it?
No. You can search and apply from anywhere. Taking up a job is a separate question: most people from outside the EEA need an employment permit, which is issued for a named job offer before the work starts.
Can someone search for roles for me?
The profile does that part. Once it has your occupation, experience and CV, the roles that match appear in your account, ranked for you, each time you sign in.
What does "Sponsorship mentioned" mean?
The advert's own text says the employer will support a work permit or visa. It is the advertiser's wording, shown as written, and not a promise that a permit will be granted.
What does an employer's permit record tell me?
How many employment permits the employer was issued in past years, from DETE's published statistics. It shows the employer has hired through a permit before. It is a record of the past, not an offer to sponsor anyone.
Does it cost anything?
Free for international candidates. Search, profiles, matches and the candidate tools are free.
