Accounts Technician / Bookkeeper.

Our client, a well-established and growing professional services firm based in West Cork, is seeking an experienced Accounts Technician / Bookkeeper to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied role, managing a portfolio of clients while developing their skills within a busy practice environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a diverse client portfolio. Calculate and prepare monthly VAT returns and ensure timely submissions. Process payment and receipt transactions and maintain accurate financial records. Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts. Assist with the preparation of management information and year-end files where required. Liaise with clients regarding financial records and bookkeeping queries. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant financial procedures. Provide general administrative support as required within the office. About You

The successful candidate will have

A Diploma in Business Studies, IATI qualification, or an equivalent bookkeeping/accounting qualification. Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or professional services environment. Strong numerical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
