A Public Sector client of ours is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to join their team in Limerick.This is an initial agency 2-year contract role which offers great scope for extension.Benefits35 hour working week.30 days of annual leave (excl. bank holidays)Hybrid workingYearly increments in salaryResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Property Manager will be required to undertake the following duties as part of their role:To provide property management and advisory services as appropriate in the management of the Estate properties.To assist in the planning, management and rationalisation of the existing Estate toinclude space utilisation and disposal of surplus properties.To co-ordinate and support the property activities of the region in line with the Organisations Property Protocol and other relevant Statutory requirements in respect of Disposals and Acquisitions.To assist in preparing and completing submissions in relation to the acquisition and disposal of properties in line with Senior Management requirements for consideration by the Property Review Group and the Senior Leadership Team.Provide, or arrange provision of independent expertise in property valuations.To advise and assist on the sourcing and acquisition of new facilities in line with the goals contained in their Service Plans.To undertake a technical review of potential sites and buildings for acquisition purposes to include planning, zoning, flooding, title etc.Provide advice and assistance in relation to sourcing suitable properties, through public and private development opportunities, public/private partnership, leasing, licencing, purchasing, joint venturing, etc.Assist in preparing reviews and commentaries on Development Plans of the Local Authorities within the in Mid-West Region in consultation with appropriate officers and advisors.Ensure statutory compliance in respect of Planning Regulations regarding the portfolio.To assist in developing, implementing and monitoring an Estate Management Plan / Property Plan / Strategy for the Region in conjunction with the organisations Capital & Estates policies, Capital Plan, Service Plan and any organisational plans and policiesRequirementsA Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Property Studies, Property Valuation & Management or Property EconomicsOrHave appropriate Membership of the relevant professional association:Society of Chartered Surveyors in IrelandRoyal Institution of Chartered SurveyorsOrHold a qualification at least equivalent to one of the above.AndHave had at least five years’ satisfactory & relevant experience in commercial agency, property valuation, property transactions and/or property management.AndHave experience of the management of a medium to large property portfolios, incl. property acquisition and disposal and the legal and statutory obligations attaching to sameAndHave experience in financial planning, budgeting and lease management.AndCandidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.For more information or to apply directly please email [email protected]
