This is a rare chance to take ownership of the systems that keep a world-class facility running at full performance: robotics, AGVs/AMRs, SCADA, and one of the most advanced control environments in Irish manufacturing today. On their behalf, we're looking for an Automation Manager to lead the automation systems team and take real accountability for the reliability, performance, and continuous evolution of the site's automated operations. You'll be the person production, logistics, IT, and engineering turn to when systems need to perform, and the one driving the roadmap for what comes next. What You'll Do Lead the Automation Systems team, ensuring safe, reliable performance across the site's automated operations Own uptime driving rapid issue resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis when it matters most Take lifecycle responsibility for WMS, SAP EWM, robotics, AGVs, AMRs, SCADA, databases, and server infrastructure Deliver automation projects end-to-end from concept and design through implementation, commissioning, and handover Partner across production, logistics, IT, and engineering to keep systems aligned with real operational needs Manage vendor and technology partner relationships to ensure effective, compliant solutions Drive a culture of continuous improvement, using data to push throughput, accuracy, and equipment availability further What You'll Bring A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, IT, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline 5+ years in automation, warehouse systems, or process control within manufacturing or logistics Proven leadership managing automation or technical operations teams Hands-on expertise across WMS, SAP EWM, robotics, AGVs/AMRs, middleware, SCADA, industrial networks, and virtualised environments Sharp troubleshooting instincts and a root-cause mindset A track record of leading automation projects from requirements through commissioning and handover The ability to translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders at every level A data-driven, analytical approach, paired with the adaptability to thrive in a fast-moving environment For further information, contact Dee Curley at [email protected] or 086-7902191.
