About this role

Our client, a well-established transport company based in Killorglin, County Kerry, is seeking an Accounts & Office Administrator to join their team. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines day-to-day finance responsibilities with general office administration, offering the opportunity to play a key role in supporting both the financial and operational success of the business. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a busy office environment while working independently and as part of a team. Key Duties Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Reconcile sales invoices, purchase invoices, supplier statements, bank accounts, and credit cards. Process supplier payments and maintain positive supplier relationships. Monitor customer accounts, manage debtor balances, and follow up on outstanding payments. Prepare and submit VIES returns in line with Revenue requirements. Assist with month-end processes and prepare financial reports for management. Perform daily accounting tasks using Xero (training provided if required). Provide general office administration, including filing, document management, and ad hoc administrative support. Assist the wider team to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the office. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role. Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with Xero and VIES returns is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided. Salary is based on experiences.
