About this role

Our client, a Public Sector body, is seeking a Clerk of Works to join their Estates team in Dublin West. This is an initial 1-year contract with strong scope for extension. You will provide day to day supervision of capital and minor capital works across the region's healthcare facilities, ensuring works are completed safely and to the required building standards. The ideal candidate will bring solid construction or building maintenance experience with a proven track record in a supervisory role.Benefits35 hour work week30 days leaveKey ResponsibilitiesProvide observation and day to day supervision of Capital Works and Minor Capital Works, including formal weekly written reports.Implement Permit to Work procedures and coordinate shutdowns, connections and commissioning of services with site staff.Assist in the correct interpretation and implementation of drawings, specifications and other contract documents.Inspect workmanship, service installations and materials, identifying and recording unacceptable work promptly.Assist Estates personnel and Consulting Engineers with site surveys and inspections.Supervise and liaise with trade staff, general operatives and external contractors, including mechanical, electrical and civil.Maintain an up to date schedule of remedial items across all projects.Obtain and review contractor test and commissioning reports to confirm satisfactory completion.Keep a comprehensive daily site diary, including a photographic record, and issue weekly progress reports.RequirementsA technological certificate (Intermediate or Advanced Stage), a recognised apprenticeship senior trade certificate, a Level 7 technical diploma, or RICS Building Services fellowship/associateship, or an equivalent qualification.Minimum 5 years experience in the construction and maintenance of large, complex buildings, including 3 years in a supervisory capacity.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.Valid Safe Pass Certificate.Clean driving licence and access to transport.Flexible and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions as required.For more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
