Our Public Sector client is currently recruiting for a Clerk of Works to join their Capital & Estates Department in Cork. The role is on a 12 month contract basis with great potential for extension or permanent roles in the future.Benefits39 hour working week.30 days annual leaveHybrid WorkingAbout the Role:Provide meticulous observation and day-to-day supervision of Capital Works & Minor Capital Works, delivering detailed weekly reports on all relevant aspects.Implement the Permit-to-Work procedure and coordinate with staff for management of interfacing, shutdowns, connections, and commissioning of services and building works.Assist in accurate interpretation and implementation of all documents, drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.Inspect workmanship, service installations, and materials, recording any unacceptable work and informing the Buildings & Maintenance Manager accordingly.Supervise and liaise with trade staff, General Operatives, and associated trades involved in maintenance, repair, and alteration of services, including external contractors.Control external/internal contractors, especially in relation to extensions, alterations of existing buildings, and services, as well as new build projects.Identify and maintain an up-to-date schedule of remedial items for all projects.Requirements:Possess at least a Senior Trades Certificate or further education in construction or engineering5 years' experience in construction and maintenance of large complex buildings.For more information or to apply directly please email [email protected]
