Commercial Finance Manager - Revenue Recognition & Enterprise Deal Support 11-Month Maternity Cover | Dublin 2 | Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home) Our client, a global leader in enterprise software, is seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join its EMEA Go-To-Market (GTM) Finance team on an 11-month maternity cover contract. This is a specialist role sitting at the intersection of Revenue Recognition, Commercial Finance and Enterprise Deal Support. Working alongside Sales, Legal and Deal Desk teams, you'll act as the finance lead on complex customer transactions, ensuring commercial agreements are structured appropriately while remaining compliant with ASC 606 and US GAAP. This is not a traditional accounting or FP&A role. It is a highly commercial position requiring someone who has already owned revenue recognition decisions within an enterprise SaaS environment and can confidently advise the business on complex contractual arrangements. The Opportunity You'll support high-value enterprise software transactions across the UK & Ireland, partnering with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk and senior business leaders throughout the deal lifecycle. You'll review complex and non-standard customer agreements, assess revenue recognition implications, advise on commercial structures and act as the primary finance owner for revenue-related matters. The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing technical accounting requirements with commercial objectives while operating in a fast-paced, quarter-end driven environment. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary finance lead supporting complex enterprise software transactions. Review non-standard commercial agreements and advise on appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606 and US GAAP. Partner with Sales, Legal and Deal Desk to structure commercially successful customer agreements. Assess performance obligations, transaction pricing and contract modifications for complex SaaS contracts. Provide proactive commercial guidance throughout the deal lifecycle, from negotiation through execution. Approve and influence commercial structures while identifying and mitigating revenue recognition risks. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including Sales Directors, Vice Presidents and Finance Leadership. Drive commercially sound decisions while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. About You We're looking for someone who combines deep technical revenue accounting expertise with strong commercial judgement.

You'll ideally have

ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification. Significant experience within a SaaS, software or enterprise technology organisation. Proven ownership of Revenue Recognition and ASC 606 accounting decisions. Experience supporting complex enterprise software transactions before contract execution. Strong understanding of performance obligations, transaction price allocation, contract modifications and non-standard commercial arrangements. Experience partnering with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk and senior commercial stakeholders. The confidence to influence commercial decisions while acting as the primary finance owner for revenue-related matters. The ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-volume commercial environment with minimal onboarding. What's on Offer 11-month maternity cover contract.
