DORA Programme Manager / DORA Implementation Lead – Contract Location: Dublin Type: 6 month Contract initially Abrivia Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the financial services and insurance sector to recruit a DORA Programme Manager / DORA Implementation Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced regulatory change professional to join a well-established international business and lead a critical DORA remediation and implementation programme. The successful candidate will take ownership of the DORA remediation programme, translating existing gap analysis into a structured delivery plan and coordinating activity across IT, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Procurement, HR and other relevant business functions. The role combines hands-on programme delivery with senior stakeholder engagement, governance and regulatory readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the DORA remediation and implementation programme from planning through to completion. Convert existing gap analysis into a detailed, prioritised project and remediation plan. Coordinate cross-functional activity across IT, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Procurement, HR and relevant business areas. Track programme actions, risks, dependencies, milestones and deadlines. Ensure required policies, procedures, governance frameworks, controls and testing activities are completed. Prepare and maintain appropriate evidence for regulators, auditors and internal governance forums. Support third-party and vendor risk management activity in line with DORA requirements. Coordinate policy, process and control remediation across the organisation. Provide clear reporting and updates to senior stakeholders on programme progress, risks and issues. Work closely with regulatory, audit and assurance stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
Requirements
Significant experience within financial services, ideally gained within insurance, banking, asset management or fintech. Previous hands-on experience delivering or supporting a DORA implementation programme. Strong project or programme management experience within a regulatory change environment. Strong understanding of IT risk, cybersecurity governance and operational resilience. Experience engaging with regulators, auditors and senior stakeholders. Experience in third-party or vendor risk management. Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex policy, process and control remediation programmes. Strong governance, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
Experience in operational resilience, business continuity or resilience testing. Knowledge of incident management and crisis management frameworks. Experience working within an international or multi-jurisdictional financial services organisation.
