EHS Specialist.

EHS Specialist | MedTech | Co. Mayo A well-established MedTech manufacturer in Co. Mayo is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join their site team on a permanent basis. This is a broad, hands-on role covering the full spectrum of EHS, from regulatory compliance and environmental management through to health & safety risk management and incident response. The Role Reporting into the site EHS function, the successful candidate will support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS policies, procedures, and site programmes. Key areas of responsibility include: Ensuring compliance with national EHS regulations, corporate standards, and ISO-aligned management systems Managing hazardous and non-hazardous waste programmes, including vendor oversight Conducting risk assessments, GEMBA walks, internal audits, and EHS change management reviews Leading or supporting incident investigations with robust root-cause analysis and CAPA implementation Coordinating the Emergency Response Team programme, including drills and readiness Maintaining and reporting EHS KPIs and supporting cross-functional improvement projects What They're Looking For Third-level qualification in EHS, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline Minimum 5 years' EHS experience in manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 highly desirable Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels Self-motivated, able to manage competing priorities and work independently What's On Offer Permanent contract with a stable, secure employer Comprehensive benefits package including private medical insurance, company pension, and annual bonus Collaborative, dynamic working environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities
