About this role
Our client, a leading Irish electrical contractor is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join their team in Kerry. You will play a key role in pricing and planning electrical projects from tender stage through to successful handover. Working closely with the Directors, Project Managers and site teams, you will prepare accurate, competitive quotations and help secure a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations from drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Review electrical drawings, schedules and specifications to identify project requirements. Carry out material take-offs and obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing. Liaise with project managers, site teams and suppliers throughout the tender process. Assist with value engineering and identifying cost-effective solutions. Support project handovers by ensuring estimating information is communicated to delivery teams. Maintain organised tender records and documentation. Requirements Previous experience in electrical estimating, tendering or pricing within an electrical contracting environment. Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and schedules and produce accurate quotations. Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail and numerical ability. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software. Good communication skills and able to work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, suppliers and clients. A practical understanding of electrical installation is highly desirable, whether gained through hands-on trade experience, site-based project roles or an engineering qualification.
