Engineering Team Lead (Android).

GemPool Recruitment is partnering with a global technology company to recruit an experienced Engineering Team Lead to take ownership of their Android engineering function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, international technology business whose products are used by millions of customers worldwide. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, QA, Backend, Web and iOS teams, playing a key role in shaping the technical roadmap and engineering standards. 📍Location: Dublin 🏢3 Days On-site 💼Full Time Permanent Role What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of Android engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship and career development. Own the technical direction, architecture and delivery of the Android platform. Remain hands-on, writing production-quality Kotlin code and developing UI using Jetpack Compose. Establish and maintain high engineering standards through code reviews, technical guidance and best practices. Own and continuously improve the CI/CD pipeline, including automated builds, testing, signing and releases using GitHub Actions. What We're Looking For 3+ years' experience in an Android Lead, Tech Lead or Engineering Management position, or significant senior-level Android experience with the capability and ambition to move into technical leadership. Strong commercial experience building and scaling consumer-facing Android applications. Deep, hands-on experience with Kotlin, including modern Kotlin patterns, coroutines and flows. Strong production experience with Jetpack Compose, including state management, navigation and performance optimisation. Experience designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions. Please note this client does not provide sponsorship to candidates at this time.
