About this role

Job Title: Financial Accountant Location: Dublin City Working Model: Hybrid – 4 days in the office Salary: €70,000 Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our client, an international insurance business based in Dublin City. This is a broad finance role supporting the Irish and UK operations, with responsibility across statutory accounts, regulatory submissions, capital reporting, and wider finance activity. The position will suit a qualified accountant with general insurance experience who is comfortable working across technical reporting requirements and day-to-day finance priorities. Your Role Produce statutory accounts and related year-end schedules for a number of legal entities Assist with regulatory reporting requirements across Ireland and the UK, including Solvency II returns Contribute to key Solvency II reports and supporting documentation Support capital requirement calculations, forecasting, and related financial analysis Assist with stress testing and scenario work used as part of the ORSA process Provide financial information and support in response to audit, tax, and regulatory requests Help maintain effective financial controls and accurate reporting across the business Work closely with finance colleagues in Ireland and the UK to ensure reporting deadlines are met Take part in finance projects and process improvement initiatives as required Your Skills Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, ACMA or an equivalent qualification Up to four years’ post-qualified experience Previous experience working within general insurance Good understanding of insurance accounting and financial reporting requirements Experience of statutory or regulatory reporting would be highly relevant Strong Excel capability and experience using finance systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Workday Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve financial issues Comfortable managing your own workload and working to reporting deadlines Clear written and verbal communication skills Experience within an international finance environment would be an advantage Should this position be of interest to you please call Tadhg at 01 9052560.
