Finishing Foreman – Qualified Carpenter (Residential & Retrofit Projects).

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finishing Foreman – Qualified Carpenter to join a leading residential and retrofit construction company in Kerry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all finishing works are completed to the highest standard, coordinating trades on-site, carrying out inspections, and ensuring projects are ready for client handover.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate finishing works across residential and retrofit projects. Inspect completed works and ensure they meet company quality standards. Carry out snagging inspections and ensure issues are identified and rectified. Review workmanship and sign off completed works prior to handover. Coordinate subcontractors and finishing trades on-site. Ensure carpentry, joinery, and second-fix works are completed to a high standard. Provide guidance and support to site teams where required. Maintain strong communication with project managers, subcontractors, and clients. Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project timelines.

Requirements

Qualified carpenter with experience in residential construction. Previous experience in a finishing, supervisory, or foreman role. Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery, and residential finishing works. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues and defects. Experience overseeing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades. Ability to take ownership of quality control and project completion. Strong understanding of construction processes from first fix through to final handover. Full clean driving license. An hourly rate of €28 is offered, depending on experience.
