Graduate Mechanical Engineer Location: Mullingar, Co. Westmeath Job Type: Full-time Experience: Graduate / Entry Level An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the Engineering Department of a well-established international engineering and manufacturing company based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of engineered pumping systems, with its Mullingar facility serving customers across European and international markets. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate looking to build their career in a hands-on design and manufacturing environment. The Role As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will work within the Engineering Department and gain experience in the design and development of bespoke pumping systems and associated equipment.
Your responsibilities will include
Creating 2D and 3D engineering drawings. Assisting with the design of pumps, base plates and associated equipment. Preparing fabrication and general arrangement drawings. Creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs). Preparing production documentation from engineering drawings. Providing technical support to Production and other internal departments. Working closely with Engineering, Production, Sales and Purchasing teams. Supporting the engineering team in delivering projects to required production deadlines. Developing your knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing and pumping systems. Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Graduate or recently qualified Mechanical Engineer. Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles. Strong technical and problem-solving ability. Good attention to detail. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Good communication and organisational skills. Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist engineering environment. Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Edge or similar CAD packages would be advantageous, but graduates with a strong engineering foundation will also be considered. Why Apply?
