About this role
We are currently recruiting a qualified Industrial Electrician to join our client’s team in County Wexford, supporting works for Irish Water under the Panel Inspection Framework. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work on the inspection, testing, maintenance, and minor upgrades of electrical panels and associated systems across a range of sites. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned inspections in accordance with Irish Water standards and project requirements. Diagnose electrical faults and carry out minor repairs on control panels, MCCs, instrumentation, and associated equipment. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and company procedures. Complete accurate inspection reports and documentation following each site visit. Liaise with site personnel and internal teams to coordinate access, scheduling, and project activities. Assist with commissioning and decommissioning works as required. Maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to a high standard. Requirements Qualified Electrician with a valid Safe Electric registration. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial, utilities, or manufacturing environment. Previous experience within the water or wastewater sector is advantageous. Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, MCCs, and panel layouts. Full clean driving license and flexibility to travel to sites as required. Strong communication, organisational, and reporting skills.
