IT Engineer.

Our Listowel, County Kerry clients are presently recruiting for an IT Engineer to support and enhance a modern enterprise technology environment. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a key role in maintaining reliable IT infrastructure, delivering technology projects, and driving continuous improvement across systems, networks, cloud services, and end-user technologies. This is a hands-on technical role with responsibility for infrastructure support, vendor coordination, cybersecurity, and the successful delivery of technology initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time position Key Duties Provide second- and third-line support across infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, servers, and end-user devices. Administer and enhance IT service management processes, including the ServiceNow platform. Support the delivery of IT infrastructure projects, office technology deployments, and digital transformation initiatives. Manage and maintain enterprise networking, telephony, CCTV, and physical security technologies. Collaborate with managed service providers and technology vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery. Monitor system performance, implement proactive maintenance, and support disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Contribute to cybersecurity through patch management, vulnerability remediation, identity management, and endpoint protection. Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures. Qualifications Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Minimum five years’ experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical support. Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, networking, cloud, and hybrid environments. Experience with ServiceNow, managed service providers, and enterprise infrastructure. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Industry certifications (Microsoft, Azure, CompTIA, ITIL) and scripting or automation experience are advantageous. Salary is based on experience and competitive.
