About this role
Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Health & Safety Officer to support the delivery of marine and coastal infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK. This role is based in County Kerry, Ireland, supporting Irish and UK construction projects remotely and through scheduled site visits (locally and in the UK).
Key Responsibilities
Support implementation of health, safety, environmental and quality systems across Irish and UK projects Conduct scheduled site audits, inspections and compliance reviews on project sites Assist in preparation and review of safety documentation and project H&S plans Monitor compliance with Irish & UK statutory regulations and company procedures Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions Promote a proactive safety culture across site and project teams Liaise with Irish & UK site management, supervisors and subcontractors on H&S matters Maintain accurate records, reporting and audit documentation Assist with inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings Requirements Relevant Health & Safety qualification (minimum requirement) NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential) 1–3 years’ experience in construction or civil engineering, with marine engineering being advantageous Strong understanding of construction site safety systems and Irish & UK H&S regulations Willingness to travel regularly to UK sites (approx. bi-weekly) Full driving license required
