Machine Operative.

Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Killarney, County Kerry, is currently recruiting a Machine Operator to join their production team. This role involves operating semi-automated machinery, handling large paper rolls using lifting aids, operating a bandsaw, and ensuring safe, efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

Operate a semi-automated production machine safely and efficiently. Operate a bandsaw located alongside the main production equipment. Monitor machine performance using basic PC systems. Handle and move large rolls of paper using mechanical lifting aids and assist with manual handling when required. Carry out routine machine checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements. Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production targets. Experience & Skills Previous experience operating production, manufacturing, or semi-automated machinery is preferred. Basic PC skills with the confidence to operate machine control systems. Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment involving lifting and moving large paper rolls with lifting equipment. Experience operating a bandsaw or similar cutting equipment is an advantage. Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team. This is a contract position, Salary is €14.45 per hour with additional payment for overtime.
