We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Project Manager to join our team, delivering high-quality mechanical installations across multiple residential developments throughout South Dublin. Working with a leading mechanical contractor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to play a key role in delivering large-scale residential developments while working with a well-established and growing contractor.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the successful delivery of mechanical services on multiple residential projects.Plan, coordinate, and oversee all mechanical installation activities from project commencement through to completion.Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring milestones and client deadlines are achieved.Manage site teams, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, design teams, and main contractors throughout the project lifecycle.Monitor project costs, budgets, labour allocation, procurement, and material schedules.Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and identify potential design or coordination issues.Chair and attend site meetings, progress meetings, and coordination workshops.Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, project specifications, and industry standards.Oversee commissioning activities, snagging, testing, and project handover documentation.Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies where required.Maintain accurate project records, reporting progress to senior management on programme, commercial performance, and resource requirements.Essential RequirementsDegree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).Minimum 5 years' experience managing mechanical projects within the construction industry.Proven experience delivering large-scale residential developments.Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, public health, ventilation, and domestic water services.Excellent knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and construction standards.Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and cost control.Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and construction management software.Full, clean Irish driving licence.Desirable QualificationsExperience working with leading main contractors on residential developments.Knowledge of BIM coordination and project delivery.Experience with low-carbon technologies including heat pump systems and energy-efficient mechanical services.Safe Pass.IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.First Aid certification.Contact [email protected] for more information.
