MEICA Design Engineer.

Our client, a leading water contractor, is seeking a MEICA Design Engineer to join their team based in Loughrea, Galway. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems for water and wastewater projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects that support sustainable water solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Responsibilities: Develop detailed MEICA designs for water and wastewater treatment projects.Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and design documentation.Perform calculations for mechanical and electrical systems to ensure compliance.Coordinate with civil, structural, and process engineers for integrated design solutions.Review supplier and subcontractor technical submissions for compliance.Assist in preparing tender documents and cost estimates for MEICA elements.Ensure adherence to industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations.Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning phases.Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.Minimum 2+ years’ experience in MEICA design within water or wastewater projects.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant calculation tools.Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems integration.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Full, clean driving license.
