A busy independent garage in Dublin is looking for a qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join their team. The garage services a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles and has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship in the local community. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced mechanic who can work independently on diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.

Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine servicing and maintenance on passenger and light commercial vehiclesDiagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and manual testingPerform mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturer standardsComplete NCT pre-inspections and advise on remedial workMaintain accurate service records and job cardsEssential RequirementsRecognised motor vehicle mechanic qualification (City & Guilds, FETAC Level 6, or equivalent)Minimum 3 years post-qualification experienceExperience with diagnostic equipment (OBD-II, manufacturer-specific tools)Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systemsFull clean driving licence
