About this role
We are currently recruiting an Experienced Staff Grade or Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Paediatric Primary Care Occupational Therapy Team covering Network 4 and Network 5 services in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary primary care setting, providing intervention and support to children and families within the community. The successful candidate will manage a varied paediatric caseload and work closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary colleagues to support children in reaching their developmental and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist
Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children with a range of developmental and complex needs Support children in areas including fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, school participation, and functional independence Develop and implement individualised intervention plans Work collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary team members including SLT, Physiotherapy, Psychology, and Social Work Deliver parent education, home programmes, and school-based recommendations where appropriate Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation Participate in team meetings, service development, and clinical supervision
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist
Degree in Occupational Therapy CORU registration For Senior Grade: minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience Paediatric experience essential Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Desirable Experience within primary care or disability services Experience with sensory integration, ASD, developmental coordination disorder, and complex needs Access to own transport and full driver’s licence What’s on Offer Competitive HSE-aligned salary Supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team Opportunity to work within a well-established paediatric primary care service Ongoing professional development and clinical support Valuable experience within community paediatric services
