Occupational Therapist.

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) based at a Centre in Portlaoise. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist seeking to develop their paediatric and disability experience within a supportive multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work with children and young people presenting with a range of developmental, physical, sensory, and complex needs, helping them achieve greater independence and participation in everyday activities. The Role

As part of the CDNT, you will

Carry out comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments for children and young people Develop and implement individualised intervention plans

Support children with

Fine and gross motor skills development Sensory processing needs Self-care and daily living skills Play and social participation School readiness and classroom participation Provide recommendations regarding assistive equipment and environmental adaptations Work collaboratively with families, schools, and community services Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and family-centred planning Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards

Requirements for the Occupational Therapist

Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy CORU registration (or eligibility for registration) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Full driver’s licence and access to a car is desirable

Desirable Experience for the Occupational Therapist

Paediatric placements or clinical experience Experience working with children with developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing difficulties, or physical disabilities Knowledge of family-centred practice and disability services What’s on Offer?
