About this role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Person in Charge (PIC) to lead residential services in Kildare. This is a senior leadership role with overall responsibility for the effective governance, management, and delivery of high-quality, person-centred services in line with HIQA regulations and Camphill values. The successful candidate will provide strong operational and strategic leadership, ensuring safe, compliant, and meaningful supports for residents while fostering a positive and supportive culture for staff teams.
Key Responsibilities of the Person in Charge
Provide overall management and leadership of designated residential services in line with HIQA regulations and national standards. Ensure high-quality, person-centred care and supports are delivered to residents. Lead, manage, and support staff teams, promoting best practice and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safeguarding, and organisational policies and procedures. Oversee staffing, rostering, budgets, and resources to ensure effective service delivery. Contribute to strategic planning and service development at local and organisational level. Act as the designated Person in Charge in accordance with regulatory requirements. Participate in the on-call rota as required. Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
Minimum Level 7 qualification on the QQI Framework, such as BA in Social Care Studies, Social Care Management, or an equivalent relevant qualification in Health or Social Care. At least 5 years’ experience working in the health, social care, or voluntary sector. Minimum of 3 years’ senior management experience at a comparable level, including demonstrable experience in strategic planning and service leadership.
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification in Social Care Management or a recognised Management qualification. Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and disability services. Proven experience in staff management, governance, and quality assurance.
