About this role
We are currently recruiting Staff Grade and Senior Physiotherapists to join a Primary Care Paediatric Team in Dublin West. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a community-based setting supporting children and families with a range of developmental and physical needs. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, family-centred care to children aged 0–18 years.
Key Responsibilities for the Physiotherapist
Deliver physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children with developmental delays and physical disabilities Develop and implement individualised, goal-focused treatment plans Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, schools, and early years services Provide therapy across a variety of settings including clinics, homes, schools, and community environments Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychology, and Social Work Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards Senior Role Responsibilities (in addition to above) Manage a complex paediatric caseload Provide clinical leadership and guidance within the physiotherapy team Support and supervise junior staff and students Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives Provide specialist input into complex cases and multidisciplinary decision-making
Requirements for the Physiotherapist
Degree in Physiotherapy CORU registration (or eligibility) For Staff Grade: relevant clinical experience in paediatrics or primary care desirable For Senior Grade: minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Full driver’s licence and access to own transport desirable Desirable Experience in paediatrics, early intervention, or disability services Knowledge of child development and family-centred practice Experience delivering group programmes or parent education What’s on Offer Competitive HSE-aligned salary Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a paediatric primary care setting Supportive and collaborative team environment Ongoing professional development opportunities
