Our client is seeking a Project Planner to join their Galway team. Renowned for their expertise in Civils and Utilities work across Ireland, this full-time, permanent role offers excellent opportunities for career growth and a competitive salary package.Responsibilities Support project teams in developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring accurate planning and forecasting.Assist with communication between clients, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to help coordinate schedules from design through to commissioning.Monitor key milestones and assist in aligning them with project timelines and budgets.Work closely with project managers and operational teams on resource scheduling to support efficient delivery.Prepare and update task-specific schedules within larger projects, considering dependencies and resource requirements.Regularly update schedules to reflect current project status and incorporate changes as needed.Participate in meetings with project managers to review schedules and identify potential delays.Assist in preparing tender stage schedules by reviewing tender scopes and timelines.Help develop resource allocation plans, including basic manning plans.Adapt work schedules to accommodate project needs and team availability.Requirements Relevant third-level qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.1–2 years’ experience in the Civils or Utilities sector, ideally with exposure to project planning or scheduling.Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project (experience with Primavera or similar tools is a plus).Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination.Good organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.A proactive team player with a willingness to learn and develop.Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.Why Apply with Sonas?
