About this role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver marine and coastal infrastructure projects across Ireland and the UK. This is a dual-base role offering involvement across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage planning through to on-site construction delivery. The role is based between County Kerry, Ireland, and UK project sites. Candidates will be office-based in County Kerry for approximately 6 months, during which they will undertake planning, programming, design coordination, procurement preparation, and pre-construction activities for upcoming marine projects. Following this phase, the role moves into the construction delivery stage in Ireland & the UK, where the Project Manager will oversee active marine works on a rotational site basis, depending on programme requirements. Rotations may involve working across multiple sites as project demands evolve.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver marine civil engineering projects safely, on time and within budget Manage overall project execution from pre-construction through to completion Oversee site operations including subcontractors Develop and manage programme schedules, reporting and progress tracking Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards Coordinate marine-specific works Manage stakeholder and client relationships throughout delivery Oversee commercial performance including cost control and variation management Support technical problem-solving and design coordination during construction

Requirements

Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering Strong marine, coastal, harbour or heavy civil engineering experience strongly preferred Ability to manage both pre-construction and live delivery phases Full driving license Eligibility to work in Ireland and the UK Salary is dependent on experience, with travel/accommodation/food allowances on offer when travelling.
