About this role
We are presently recruiting for a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to manage road maintenance contracts with Kerry and Cork County Councils. You will come with a background in Civil Engineering, road servicing or quantity surveying and will be required to manage all aspects of day to day operations, costs, crews and materials for each project. A full, clean driving license along with the ability to drive to various locations in County Cork and Kerry, is mandatory.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site operations Manage site resources (labor, materials, equipment) Coordinate sub-contractors and suppliers Ensure work aligns with project plans, specs, and schedules Monitor progress and update senior management Enforce health and safety protocols Conduct site inspections and address safety concerns Ensure quality standards are met and address issues Maximize productivity, minimize waste, and track costs Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders Lead site meetings and collaborate on budgets and cost control
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field 3+ years of construction management experience, with road project focus Strong Proficiency in project management tools Full driving license is essential
