About this role
Our County Kerry based clients are presently recruiting for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of specialist sports construction and civil engineering projects from tender through to final account. Projects are continuing and ongoing at various sites throughout Ireland. This is a permanent, full-time position. Key Responsibilities Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts, cash flow and margins. Prepare valuations, payment applications, variations and final accounts. Review drawings, specifications, contracts and scopes of work. Prepare quantities, estimates and tender submissions. Obtain, assess and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Manage procurement and subcontractor commercial performance. Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets. Identify commercial risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures. Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting. Support contract administration, notices and commercial correspondence. Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Estimators and senior management. Attend client, subcontractor and project meetings as required. Requirements 3–6 years’ Quantity Surveying commercial construction experience. Relevant Quantity Surveying, Construction or Commercial Management qualification. Strong knowledge of construction costs, procurement and contracts. Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts. Full driving license and willingness to travel.
