About this role
Job Title: Risk Advisor Location: Dublin Working Model: Hybrid (2 days in the office) Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Risk Advisor to join our client within the insurance sector. This newly created position offers the opportunity to combine governance, risk, and compliance expertise with a highly relationship-focused role, working closely with members across Ireland to support best practice and organisational resilience. Joining an established Member & Client Relations team, you will build trusted relationships with stakeholders, deliver presentations, and provide practical advice across governance, risk, and compliance. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people just as much as they enjoy the technical side of risk management. Your Role Build and maintain strong relationships with members, acting as a trusted advisor on governance, risk, and compliance matters. Deliver presentations, workshops, and guidance sessions to member organisations and key stakeholders. Provide practical advice to support effective governance frameworks and risk management practices. Carry out on-site visits to members across Ireland, identifying opportunities to strengthen risk management and organisational resilience. Work closely with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality advisory services. Support the development of governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives across the wider member network. Keep up to date with regulatory developments and emerging risks, sharing insights and best practice with members. Your Skills Minimum five years’ professional experience within Risk, Governance, Compliance, Internal Audit, Audit, or a related Financial Services environment. Insurance experience is not essential; however, an interest in developing within the insurance industry is important. Excellent presentation and communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders. Strong relationship-building skills with a personable and consultative approach. Full Irish driving licence with the flexibility to travel regularly to member sites throughout Ireland.
