Job Title: Senior Claims Manager Location: Dublin City Centre Working Model: Hybrid Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Manager to join a long-established insurance business as it embarks on an exciting new phase of growth. Backed by leading global insurance partners and significant investment, the business is expanding its insurance offering through a newly established MGA and is seeking an experienced claims leader to build its claims function from the ground up. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll play a key role in designing the claims operating model, implementing best practice processes and shaping the future direction of the function. This is a genuine opportunity to build something from day one, with the autonomy to influence how the claims operation evolves as the business grows. Initially, this will be a hands-on leadership role with no direct reports, however you’ll be expected to build and lead the claims team as the business expands. Your Role Build and establish the end-to-end motor claims function from First Notification of Loss through to settlement Design and implement the claims operating model, processes and governance framework Oversee day-to-day claims operations, ensuring excellent customer outcomes while maintaining strong cost control Develop and manage relationships with repair networks, legal partners, suppliers and other external service providers Monitor claims performance through reporting and MI, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and operational performance Work closely with underwriting, pricing and operational teams, using claims insight to support portfolio performance and business decisions Contribute to budgeting, supplier management and the ongoing development of the claim’s strategy Drive continuous improvement across claims processes, technology and customer experience Recruit, develop and lead the claims team as the function continues to grow Your Skills Significant motor claims experience within the Irish insurance market Previous experience leading claims teams or managing claims operations Strong understanding of the end-to-end motor claims lifecycle, including supplier and legal panel management Experience developing processes, improving operational performance and delivering claims efficiencies Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer outcomes and claims costs Experience working with claims systems and management information Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills CIP or equivalent professional insurance qualification A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a growing and evolving business Should this position be of interest to you please call Tadhg at 01 9052560.
