Senior Network Engineer - Backbone & Edge Deployment - Global Tech Up to €95,000 annualised | 11-month PAYE contract | Hybrid - 3 days onsite, Dublin This is not a traditional network support role. You'll own large-scale backbone and edge deployments-from the initial equipment plan through to live production traffic and operational handover. Principle HR is recruiting for a global technology organisation operating a complex, large-scale IP network. You'll help deliver new network capacity across European Points of Presence and data centre environments, taking ownership of multiple deployments from planning through to completion. What's in it for you? Annual Salary from €94,000 upto €100,000 annualised 11-month PAYE contract, paid weekly through Principle HR Potential extension, subject to business need and your performance Hybrid working with 3 days onsite in Dublin Central End-to-end ownership of technically complex network deployments Exposure to large-scale backbone and edge infrastructure Opportunity to travel to POP and data centre sites across Europe What we're looking for 5+ years' experience in network engineering, including large-scale network deployment Experience within hyperscale technology, telecoms, carrier networks, CDNs, colocation or complex data centre environments Strong IP routing and switching knowledge, including BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP, TCP/IP and SDN Experience working with MOPs, BOMs, engineering design packages, scopes of work and rack or cabling plans Proven ability to manage multiple technical deployments and coordinate cross-functional and field teams Strong troubleshooting skills across networks, systems, server hardware and automation tooling Clear, proactive communication and the ability to work effectively when priorities or project scopes change What your week could look like Planning new peering, aggregation and compute deployments to increase network capacity Creating BOMs, MOPs, engineering design packages, scopes of work and rack or cabling plans Coordinating equipment deliveries, cross-functional teams and onsite field engineers Provisioning new devices and bringing network capacity into live production Troubleshooting network, systems, hardware and automation issues when tools or processes fail Completing quality checks and handing finished deployments over to operations Occasionally travelling to European POP and data centre sites This role will suit someone with genuine backbone, edge, POP or large-scale data centre deployment experience-not solely enterprise LAN/WAN support.
