We are currently recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join an Acute setting based in Dublin. This is a unique opportunity to work within a specialist child and adolescent mental health inpatient service, supporting young people with complex mental health needs. You will play a key role within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care in a structured therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist
Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with complex mental health presentations Support young people in developing skills related to daily living, emotional regulation, and participation in meaningful activities Deliver both individual and group-based therapeutic interventions Contribute to care planning and risk management within an inpatient CAMHS setting Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, social work, and education staff Engage with families and carers as part of a holistic, family-centred approach Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist Degree in Occupational Therapy CORU registration Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience Experience working in mental health services (CAMHS experience highly desirable) Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Desirable Experience in child and adolescent mental health services Experience in inpatient or acute mental health settings Training in therapeutic approaches relevant to CAMHS (e.g. CBT-informed practice, sensory integration, group work) What’s on Offer Competitive HSE-aligned salary Opportunity to work within a specialist inpatient CAMHS service Supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team Ongoing professional development opportunities Valuable experience in a highly specialised clinical area
