About this role
We are currently seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in North Tipperary, based in Roscrea and Nenagh. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist
Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to children and adolescents within CAMHS Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, social work, and nursing Develop and implement individualised care plans Support service users in developing skills for daily living, emotional regulation, and social participation Engage with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic care Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards
Requirements for the Senior Occupational Therapist
Qualification in Occupational Therapy and CORU registration Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year at senior level preferred Experience working in mental health, ideally within CAMHS or with children and adolescents Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills Full driver’s licence and access to own transport Desirable Experience in sensory integration, CBT-informed approaches, or group work Previous HSE or similar public health service experience What’s on Offer Competitive HSE-aligned pay rates Opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary CAMHS team Valuable experience within a specialist mental health service Ongoing professional development support
