Senior Occupational Therapist – Adult disabilities.

Senior Occupational Therapist = Adult Disabilities We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join Adult Disability Services in Longford. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a progressive, community-based service supporting adults with physical and intellectual disabilities across a variety of settings. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, with a particular emphasis on seating, posture management, and specialist equipment provision. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development, clinical leadership, and best practice within adult disability services.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Occupational Therapist

Provide high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy services to adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities Assess, plan, implement and review individualised intervention programmes Lead on seating, posture management, and equipment provision, including complex assessments Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Support and mentor staff grade occupational therapists and students, as appropriate Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development initiatives

Essential Criteria for the Senior Occupational Therapist

CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including relevant senior-level experience Demonstrated experience in seating and specialist equipment provision Experience working with adults with disabilities Full, clean driving licence and access to a car Excellent communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills

Desirable Criteria

Experience working within community-based adult disability services Experience with complex physical presentations and assistive technology
