About this role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial team of our Tralee client. Working across a diverse portfolio of construction and civil engineering projects, you will play a key role in managing project costs, commercial performance and contractual matters. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic Irish contractor with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and cost management of assigned projects from tender through to final account. Prepare budgets, cost plans, forecasts and regular commercial reports. Manage procurement, tender analysis and subcontractor negotiations. Monitor project costs, variations, valuations, claims and financial performance. Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities. Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams. Support contract administration and resolution of commercial disputes. Provide guidance and support to junior members of the commercial team. Key Requirements Degree or recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ relevant Quantity Surveying experience, ideally with a main contractor or civil engineering company. Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, contracts and the Irish construction industry. Excellent commercial, analytical, negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in relevant commercial/construction software. SCSI or RICS Chartered status, or working towards chartership, would be an advantage.
