Social Care Worker.

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting a Social Care Worker to join a residential disability service in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism to live fulfilling, independent, and meaningful lives within their community. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering person-centred supports that promote independence, dignity, choice, and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Care Worker

Provide high-quality, person-centred support to service users Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and maximising independence Assist with daily living activities, community integration, and social participation Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues Support the implementation of individual care plans and person-centred plans Promote the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of all service users Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous professional development

Requirements for the Social Care Worker

Relevant Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or a related discipline CORU registration or eligibility to register where applicable Experience working within disability services, residential care, or community services is desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle Desirable Experience Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism Knowledge of person-centred planning and positive behaviour support Understanding of safeguarding and HIQA standards Experience supporting individuals with complex needs What’s on Offer?
