About this role
We are currently recruiting Staff Grade and Senior Speech & Language Therapists to join the team at an Acute setting in Tullamore. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a busy acute hospital setting, working with adult patients across a range of clinical areas.
Key Responsibilities of the Speech & Language Therapists
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and management of communication and swallowing disorders (dysphagia) Work with adult patients across acute services including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation wards Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including consultants, nursing staff, dietitians, and allied health professionals Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care Senior Role Responsibilities (in addition to above) Manage a complex caseload and provide clinical leadership within the SLT service Support and supervise junior staff and students Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives Provide specialist input in dysphagia management
Requirements for the Speech & Language Therapists
Degree in Speech & Language Therapy CORU registration (or eligibility) For Staff Grade: relevant clinical experience in SLT For Senior Grade: minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience Experience in dysphagia management is essential Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills Desirable Experience in an acute hospital setting Postgraduate training in dysphagia or related areas Previous HSE or similar healthcare experience What’s on Offer Competitive HSE-aligned salary Opportunity to work within a busy acute hospital environment Supportive multidisciplinary team Ongoing professional development opportunities
