Role Overview Position: Trainee Resident Housing Officer – Clann Reporting to: Resident Housing Officer Location (Hybrid): North Team – Dublin, Louth, Meath Contract type: 2 Year Fixed Term Salary: €28,090 – €38,623 Hours: 35 hours per week Travel: The post requires a valid driving license and the use of a car The successful applicant will be employed by Clúid Housing for a period of two years and be required during the two years to attend a course of study which will enable them to obtain a PSRA license. This particular Trainee Resident Housing Officer opportunity is within Clann, Clúid’s age-friendly housing service. Clann supports older people to live independently in secure, high-quality homes and thriving communities. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working with and supporting older residents, helping to deliver services that promote independence, wellbeing, and community engagement. A strong commitment to the Trainee programme and a desire to pursue a career in Housing is essential. Applicants could be post graduates from a number of academic routes. Where required, the successful candidates may undertake a small number of top up modules, funded by Clúid, to ensure their knowledge and skills meet PSRA level standards. For applicants without sufficient academic experience, a structured two year distance learning programme, funded by Clúid, will provide the additional learning required to reach PSRA level competence. While the licence itself is not mandatory, the programme ensures all trainees develop the knowledge and skills expected at that professional standard. Additional certification courses will also underpin the students learning. Key Responsibilities Participate in the Trainee Placement Program Estate Management Tenancy Management Community Development / Resident Participation Safeguarding Complaints & Feedback Partnership Working Data & Case Management Corporate Responsibilities Ensure all activity is aligned to Clúid’s values and contributes to the mission of supporting the development of thriving communities Adhere to all Clúid policies and procedures at all times To exercise discretion at all times Demonstrate high standards regarding both Clúid’s and your own wellbeing, health and safety requirements Person Specification Primary degree/education in Social Science or relevant discipline Experience of working in a property orientated environment Experience of working with a wide range of people including vulnerable, homeless, elderly, low-income households. Experience/Qualifications Full Clean Driving licence and use of car I.T. / Digital proficiency to intermediate level 2 years’ experience of working in a customer focused environment Recent graduate of a relevant course and willing to complete top up modules to reach PSRA level competence Where additional academic development is required, candidates will complete funded top up modules or a structured two-year learning programme to achieve PSRA level competence. For candidates without level 5 qualification (e.g. leaving certificate), a process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can be undertaken to assess the candidates’ suitability to the course.
