Accounts Assistant.

Exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established accountancy practice based in Galway. As the Accounts Assistant, you will report directly to the Finance Director and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations within the Accounts Department. This position is perfect for an Accounts Assistant who is detail-oriented, highly organised, and brings strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Process purchase invoices and expense claims accurately and on time
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Support audit preparation and compliance tasks

Requirements

• Business or finance-related qualification
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a finance role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
