Location: Co. Wicklow (onsite) Employment Type: Full-time About Our Client Our client a company based in Co. Wicklow, looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance function. Job Purpose Reporting to the General Manager, this role owns transactional accounting processes, including ledgers, supplier payments, and customer receipts, plus data and analysis to support leadership decisions. You’ll also support month and year-end compilation, alongside general admin support to management. Key Responsibilities Answer customer calls and queries on transactions, invoices, and payments Receive, check, code, and record invoices; match to purchase orders File, scan, and index invoices for timely payment Support month and year-end deadlines Close account queries promptly Reconcile monthly accounts, resolving discrepancies and escalating as needed Process expenses and claims, ensuring VAT and coding accuracy Chase supporting documentation with internal teams Liaise with management and departments to keep processes running smoothly Prepare and analyse reports for leadership decision-making Complete ad hoc office duties as needed Support payroll processing as required Skills & Experience Required Experience in a transactional finance role Exceptional organisational and time management skills Confident communicator at all levels Highly numerate, with strong data interpretation skills Excellent attention to detail, able to spot and resolve discrepancies Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Reliable, efficient, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Desirable Experience with SAP or similar finance/inventory systems Benefits Employee assistance program Food allowance On-site parking
