Architectural Technologist (French speaking).

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to manage a team of Architectural Technologists across multiple projects, ensuring design solutions are delivered to the highest standards of quality, on schedule and within budget.

The role involves overseeing the production of technical drawings, schedules and design documentation, coordinating with the wider project team and ensuring a smooth handover of design packages to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and scope, agreeing design deliverables.
• Manage design budgets, programmes and productivity targets.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Supervise and mentor Architectural Technologists, supporting their professional development.
• Manage technical aspects of subcontractor packages.
• Oversee product selection, technical detailing and material interfaces.
• Raise and respond to design-stage RFIs and COVIs.
• Ensure compliance with project health and safety requirements.
• Identify long-lead materials to support procurement planning.
• Attend site meetings as required.
• Assist with tender proposals and technical submissions.
• Coordinate design packages and ensure an effective handover to construction teams.

Requirements

Qualifications

• BSc in Architectural Technology or equivalent relevant qualification.

Skills and Experience

• Experience managing design teams across multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, design standards and BCAR.
• Expertise in technical detailing and material specification.
• Good understanding of drawing standards and symbols.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
• Fluency in both French and English.
