Associate / Senior Associate - Insurance Litigation Location: Dublin 4 Reporting to: Partner Practice Area: Insurance Litigation & Dispute Resolution The Role An opportunity has arisen for a talented Litigation Solicitor to join a leading insurance and liability practice. The successful candidate will advise domestic and international insurers, self-insured organisations and corporate clients on a broad range of litigation and dispute resolution matters. This role will involve managing a varied caseload while assisting on high-value and complex claims, including catastrophic injury litigation, employer's liability, public liability, motor, product liability and health & safety matters. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of contentious insurance and liability matters from instruction through to resolution. Defend High Court and Circuit Court personal injury claims. Advise insurer and corporate clients on liability exposure, litigation strategy and risk management. Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, witness statements and settlement documentation. Attend court hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations. Assist on catastrophic injury and complex liability claims. Advise clients on health & safety and regulatory investigations. Liaise with counsel, experts, insurers and clients. Support business development initiatives and client relationship management. Mentor and supervise trainees and junior lawyers where appropriate. Candidate Requirements Qualified Solicitor in Ireland. Ideally 2-8 years' PQE (flexible depending on calibre). Strong litigation and dispute resolution experience. Experience in insurance defence, personal injury, medical negligence defence, employment liability, public liability or general commercial litigation advantageous. Excellent drafting, analytical and advocacy skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commercial awareness and strong client relationship skills.
