Audit Accountant.

Our client is a long-established and highly respected accountancy practice based in Killarney, County Kerry. Providing a comprehensive range of audit, accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, they are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Audit Accountant to join their experienced team. This is a permanent, position with an option for hybrid working

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning, coordinating and completing audit assignments for a broad range of clients.
• Preparing audit files and ensuring compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards.
• Reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Identifying audit risks and recommending practical solutions.
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and address queries.
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Supporting senior management with client engagements and business advisory projects.
• Ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines and budgets.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting, auditing and regulatory developments.
• Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

Person Specification / Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified, or nearing qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in audit practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
