About this role
Our client is a long-established and highly respected accountancy practice based in Killarney, County Kerry. Providing a comprehensive range of audit, accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, they are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Audit Accountant to join their experienced team. This is a permanent, position with an option for hybrid working Key Duties and Responsibilities Planning, coordinating and completing audit assignments for a broad range of clients. Preparing audit files and ensuring compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards. Reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation. Identifying audit risks and recommending practical solutions. Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and address queries. Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements. Supporting senior management with client engagements and business advisory projects. Ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines and budgets. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting, auditing and regulatory developments. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues. Person Specification / Qualifications ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified, or nearing qualification. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in audit practice. Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
