About this role
Our client is seeking a talented AV Service Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing onsite and remote service, maintenance, and technical support for a wide range of Audio-Visual and Unified Communications systems. Working closely with clients, manufacturers, and internal project teams, the AV Service Engineer will ensure systems operate at peak performance while delivering an excellent customer experience. The position is Full-Time, on a standard Monday-Friday week with some overtime required to complete projects. This role involves travel outside of Dublin, with occasional overnight stays required. Key Responsibilities
Perform onsite and remote maintenance, servicing, and repair of Audio-Visual and Unified Communications systems. Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose faults within integrated AV systems, including DSP platforms. Collaborate with manufacturer technical support teams to resolve complex technical issues. Fine-tune and optimise audio, video, and control systems to ensure peak performance. Manage service vehicle stock and maintain accurate warehouse inventory records. Maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures while working at client sites. Travel to various customer locations as required to provide technical support and service. Complete service documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner. Carry out additional duties as required to support business operations.
Requirements
Full, clean driver’s licence required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Audio-Visual service, maintenance, or support roles. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV system issues. Experience with remote access tools and network technologies, including VPN configuration. Knowledge of advanced audio, video, and control system signal flow. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred. Formal education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
