Commercial Business Partner.

Our client is a tier – one construction company with operations across Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe. They specialise in delivering projects within Critical Environments, including Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High-Value Manufacturing, and Critical Logistics.

They are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Business Partner (Accountant) to join their team. This role works closely with the Commercial and Finance teams to provide project performance analysis, financial reporting, subcontractor management, and data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project performance reviews, financial analysis, and reporting to drive business decisions
• Oversee Cost Value Reports (CVRs), project forecasts, WIP reporting, and audits
• Manage subcontractor onboarding, payments, compliance, and ledger accuracy
• Develop and maintain data dashboards, delivering insights using Power BI
• Conduct market, project, and tender analysis to support commercial strategy
• Assist with ESG reporting, tenders, insurance renewals, and CSO returns

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA) preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within the construction sector
• Strong financial and commercial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, both independently and within a team
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel ; experience with Power BI or other data analytics tools is desirable
