Construction Director.

Our client, a Leading Civils Contractor with decades of delivery across Ireland and the UK, is seeking a Construction Director or Senior Contracts Manager to set up and run a new contracting division in the Midlands. The division will deliver Design & Build projects in the Waste, Water and Data Centre sectors. The successful candidate will bring a strong commercial and delivery record, and will have a defined, performance-backed route to profit share and executive leadership. All enquiries are handled in strict confidence.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and lead the new Design & Build division, including its structure, systems and team.Take full responsibility for operational delivery across all contracts, from tender through to handover.Manage the commercial performance of the division, including cost reporting, forecasting, margin and cash flow.Lead business development, identify target clients and build a sustainable pipeline of work.Manage tendering and procurement, including bid strategy, pricing reviews and supply chain selection.Manage design teams and consultants on Design & Build projects to deliver buildable, cost-effective solutions.Negotiate and administer contracts, managing change, claims and contractual risk.Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.Report on division performance to the Managing Director and the wider group board, and ensure the division meets the group's health and safety and quality standards.RequirementsProven record delivering commercial or civil engineering projects in Ireland or the UK.Senior experience as a Construction Director, Contracts Manager or equivalent, with full P&L or contract-level commercial responsibility.Degree or professional background in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction or Project Management.Experience of Design & Build delivery.Strong working knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.Track record of winning work and building client relationships.Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutionsMarket Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerDirect Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managersSeamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.SONCATA
